Short-Term Capital Management is a student-run hedge fund based
at Harvard College.
More than 25 years ago, a team of world-renowned
academics and industry veterans thought that financial economics,
computers, and decades of data would help them create a money-printing
machine at Long-Term Capital Management. Founded in 2020, STCM seeks to
re-live the dream – but with more honesty about our limitations this
time.
Short-Term Capital Management recruits the smartest students
on Harvard's campus except for all the other kids who are smarter.

STCM was founded in the midst of one of the greatest economic crises in
modern times. We engage in robust tail-hedging strategies to minimize
tail risk and create a portfolio that benefits from unpredictable
events. We are primarily long-short equity and pursue many different
strategies to learn more about investing, including global macro and
and event-driven strategies.
